HOW WE GOT STARTED

Located in the heart of the Eastern Upper Peninsula, Jere Farms began in 2013, intending to provide the Eastern U.P. with healthy, fresh, locally grown meats and produce. Dan and Amy could never have imagined that their meat sales would grow to meet such high demand across the state of Michigan. They quickly recognized the need to provide high-quality, pasture-raised beef, pork, lamb, chickens, and turkeys to family, friends, and residents throughout lower Michigan.

ABOUT AMY and Dan

Amy and Dan are a husband-and-wife team who dedicate countless hours to running their farm. Jere Farms is located in the quaint town of Brimley, Michigan. Farming in the Upper Peninsula presents unique challenges due to the weather, but the natural beauty of the U.P., from sunrises to sunsets, makes the work incredibly rewarding. Amy and Dan are expanding the farm with a full-service on-farm stand that will offer all of Jere Farms’ products, including high-quality meats and naturally grown vegetables.

WHERE TO FIND US

Jere Farms is available at multiple farmers’ markets throughout the Upper and Lower Peninsulas of Michigan. We also make additional stops along our route to reach as many customers as possible who want ethically raised, freshly processed meats. Our products are available to everyone, with no minimum order required. Jere Farms is MDARD licensed for retail piece sales of meat products, and all processing is done at a small, family-run USDA facility.
